Kuerig Dr Pepper Has Announced That They Will Be Discontinuing Production Of 7 UP. UPDATE: Dember 1st Will Be The Last Day Of Production

Burlington, MA- Kuerig Dr Pepper has announced that the company will no longer produce the long running citrus drink 7 UP. CEO Robert Gamgort made the announcement early May 11th regarding the long running beverage. Sales have been at an all time low.

“7 UP has meant so much to all of us over the years. All of us over 50 that is. The youth in America have no use for the drink. Long ago are the days where one would ask for some 7 UP to ease an upset stomach. No one is ordering 7 and 7’s anymore. Quite frankly it’s been long overdue to put this soft drink out to pasture. Kuerig Dr Pepper will use the rest of 2020 to sell off what is left and to finish promotions already under contract”, said Gamgort

“When we merge with Dr Pepper I can’t wait to unload that dead limb 7 UP. It’s like pruning a rose bush and we have to remove the parts that are hurting the bush as a whole” – Gamgort

Ringsssss.com conducted a survey of 1000 people to ask about the discontinuation of the soft drink. Most people said what? 7 who? And the ones who were familiar with the drink were amazed it was still being sold.

  1. I have been buy 7up since i was a kid and 2 of my 3 kids still buy it to this day….. In stead of discontinuing our beloved 7up why not just reduce the production to 1 to two months of the year and use the line for another product the balance of the year.

  2. Maybe instead of dumping 7 up you could promote it like they do with the energy drinks. You could even get a rumor started that it has marijuana in it. I’ll bet the youth would flock to the stores to buy it, of course you would have to raise the price. Sorry to say, but if the price is to low kids won’t buy it. It’s sad when you hear that something that you grew up with is going to be gone. Good luck in your future!

  4. This is very disheartening!! Sprite hurts my stomach and I’m not a fan of caffeinated sodas. 7up is the only thing that settles my belly, I love 7up and buy it all of the time!!! You should seriously reconsider.

  5. In my fridge I have Dr Pepper, Coke, (No Sprite) and 7Up. I always keep these on hand simply because I have always loved them. I also have No Pepsi products, I just cannot stand those products. I ask you don’t discontinue the 7Up line.

  6. I hope you go bankrupt, all I drink is 7up and lots of it . Have for 50+ years . I haven’t seen a 7 up commercial in years . Wonder why no one knows what it is . Corporate America sucks ass . Gamgort knows nothing about loyalty, only money . Worst of luck to you .

  7. Like someone mentioned make it a limited run every year. It has always been better than sprite. Please reconsider the option of a limited run.

  8. Why don’t you start to advertise 7up again then maybe people will buy your product all over again it’s easy to forget about a product if it is not advertised with commercials on radio television and in magazines Dr Pepper is advertised and It is popular so you need to do the same thing with 7up

  9. It just hasn’t been promoted. it’s the forgotten un-cola? In the 60s, they had a pavilion at the world’s fair just for 7 up.

  10. Please don’t discontinue 7up. It’s the best clear soda. People with kidney decease can only drink clear sodas. That’s my go to drink when my stomach is upset.
